I now have TRICARE for Life, do I need to keep my other supplemental insurance?

It may not be necessary for you to retain the supplemental insurance you had prior to becoming eligible for TRICARE for Life (TFL) benefits. When you use a Medicare provider, TFL will pay all Medicare co-payments and deductibles and cover most of the costs of certain care not covered by Medicare. You can obtain counseling and assistance in making insurance and health plan decisions by contacting your local State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIPs) office.
