QuestionLong:
What is Epogen® ?

Epogen® is a medicine that replaces a natural hormone made by healthy kidneys called erythropoietin. Epogen® helps correct low red blood cell count or anemia in dialysis patients. This medicine can be given two ways: it can be injected through the blood tubing directly into a vein during hemodialysis (intravenously or IV), or it can be injected through a small needle under the skin (subcutaneously or SC).
