Why are some of the nursing home names and addresses cut-off in Nursing Home Compare?

Some of the names and addresses contained in the Nursing Home Compare database may appear to be cut-off or misspelled. This is not technical problem with Nursing Home Compare. The information is shown the way the names and addresses are entered into the source database, the Online Survey, Certification, and Reporting (OSCAR) database. This information is entered by each State survey agency. If you are a representative from a nursing home and the information about your nursing home is incorrect, or has changed, please contact your State survey agency to have it updated in CMS's Online Survey, Certification, and Reporting (OSCAR) database. The phone number for the State survey agency in your area can be found in the Helpful Contacts section of this website. Any corrections made by the State survey agencies in the OSCAR database will be captured during the next OSCAR data extraction, which generally occurs on the first business day of each month. The OSCAR data captured in this extraction will be posted on Nursing Home Compare later the same month.
