Why do the results in Home Health Compare show home health agencies (HHAs) that are outside the area of my search criteria?

The search in Home Health Compare (HHC) is based on the places where a home health agency has provided services in the past, not the physical location of the agency or its Certificate of Need area. Any home health agency that has provided services in a selected zip, county or state will be included in the search results, including home health agencies that cross county and/or state lines.
