Medicare does not cover routine dental care or most dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions or dentures. In rare cases, Medicare Part B will pay for certain dental services. In addition, Medicare Part A will pay for certain dental services that you get when you are in the hospital. Call your local Medicare Carrier for more information. You can find their phone number in the Helpful Contacts section on Medicare's Website. Some Medicare health plans may offer additional dental coverage. Some Medicare Advantage plans may include dental benefits. You should check with your Medicare Advantage plan directly to see what dental services are covered.
